O SAWYER takes the Alberta Stallion Stakes Derby! The three year old gelding by First Timber out of Let’s Get Going was bred by Wes and Susen Oulton, and is owned and trained by Wes Oulton. This also marks the first Quarter Horse win, and first Century Mile win for jockey Alejandro J. Angeles! Congratulations to all of the connections!

The Alberta Stallion Stakes Maturity goes to BOSSY CARTEL and Alexander Marti! This is the third win in four career starts for the two year old gelding by Jd Wagon Boss, who was bred and owned by Jerry Stojan. Bossy Cartel is trained by leading Quarter Horse trainer, William Leech. Congratulations to all involved!

Amadeo scored the win with Patriot’s Word, who breaks his maiden in his very first race! The Alberta-bred two year old gelding by Thousand Words out of the mare Broadway Bonnie, is bred by Pierre Esquirol, owned by Pierre Esquirol, Karline Kingston and Pat Schaffer and trained by Karline Kingston. It was Amadeo’s second win of the evening! Congratulations to Amadeo and all the winning connections!!
