Nova Scotia Charitable Gaming

Charitable and religious organizations are allowed to use games of chance for fundraising purposes. The Nova Scotia Alcohol and Gaming Division licenses and regulates all charitable gaming in the province. Charitable games include bingo, break-open tickets, games of chance lotteries and ticket lotteries. Charitable cash casinos are not allowed, but casinos using artificial money or chips are accepted. As in many other provinces, break-open tickets may only be sold in charitable facilities.
