Horse racing in Nova Scotia includes harness racing and simulcasting. The industry is regulated by Maritime Provinces Harness Racing Commission (MPHRC), formerly known as the Atlantic Provinces Harness Racing Commission (APHRC). The Canadian Pari-Mutuel Agency (CPMA) oversees and regulates pari-mutuel betting on horse racing at racetracks across Canada.

Nova Scotia has three active harness racing facilities: Truro Raceway (Bible Hill/Truro), Nova Scotia's largest harness racing track, which has operated since 1865 and offers live racing on Friday nights with simulcast throughout the week; Inverness Raceway in Inverness; and Northside Downs in North Sydney.
