Prince Edward Island Lotteries

The Prince Edward Island Lotteries Commission regulates all ticket lotteries and VLTs in cooperation with the Interprovincial Lottery Corporation and the Atlantic Lottery Corporation, founded in 1976. Only nonprofit or charitable organizations may apply for lottery licenses, and a 2% fee is charged on winnings by the state.

In spring 2013, the Lotteries Commission came under government scrutiny because it had not filed an annual report since 2010 and was two months late in delivering its financial statements to the government in 2012.

Although operated by the lottery, Casino City considers VLTs to be a casino and card room activity.
