Saskatchewan Lotteries
In 1969, an amendment was made to the Criminal Code of Canada that allowed provinces to conduct "lottery schemes." In 1974, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia joined together to form the Western Canada Lottery Corporation, which currently operates lotteries in Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan, as well as in association with the Yukon Territory, the Northwest Territories and Nunavut.
Although run by the Saskatchewan Lottery division, Casino City considers VLTs to be a casino and card room gaming activity.
