British Columbia Charitable Gaming
In 2002, charitable and community organizations no longer had to conduct and manage paper bingo in the province, but these organizations still play a part in commercial bingo. Some of the organizations now act as bingo service providers, and some operate commercial bingo facilities on behalf of their charities. This establishes individual charitable organizations as beneficiaries of bingo gaming revenue. The government also guarantees funding to charitable and community organizations of a minimum of CAD 125 million indexed annually since 1998.
