Quebec Tribal Gaming

The Kahnawake Gaming Commission has issued a number of poker room licenses. These clubs may offer tournaments and cash games.

In November 2022, the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) and the Six Nations of the Grand River (SNGR) formally signed the Mutual Cooperation Agreement on Gaming, committing both nations to defend Indigenous control over gaming through legal, political, and economic strategies and to work toward establishing a national Indigenous gaming regulatory body. The agreement emerged in direct response to Ontario's open iGaming market launch in April 2022, which MCK and SNGR opposed on the grounds that it disregarded their Aboriginal rights to conduct, manage, and regulate gaming.
